Accreditation
As a representative and advocate for the engineering and computer-science professions, IEEE has a strong and continued interest in sustaining and improving the accrediting process degrees in the IEEE fields of interest offered by universities and colleges worldwide.
The next generation of electrical engineers who graduate from accredited programs, will be that much more prepared to handle the challenges of the future in IEEE’s fields of interest. Employers and employees, in both industry and academia, view graduates from accredited programs as having achieved a certain level of expertise. Some would even say a higher standard was met by these graduates.
Therefore, many within the IEEE community feel it is the duty of IEEE volunteers to keep these standards high and maintain the strong impact of the Engineering Community in all our future engineer professionals.
