IEEE DataPort: Manage Your Research Data
IEEE DataPort is a globally accessible data platform developed and offered by IEEE that provides significant benefits to researchers, data analysts, and the global technical community. The research data platform offers free uploads of any dataset up to 2TB per dataset for individuals and 10TB per dataset for institutional subscribers. The platform has more than 4.5 million global users and over 4,400 datasets.
WHY IEEE DATAPORT?
Enable individuals and institutions to indefinitely store and make datasets easily accessible to a broad set of researchers, engineers, and those in industry.
ACCESS DATASETS
Log in or create a free IEEE Account for freely available Open Access datasets, or subscribe for full access.
SUBMIT A DATASET
Storing and sharing your datasets on IEEE DataPort is completely free with an IEEE Account.
IEEE DataPort benefits include:
2 TB of data storage per dataset (10 TB for institutional subscribers)
Open Access and non-Open Access dataset options
Data Management Plan (DMP) tool available for all users, which helps meet funding requirements
Ability to link datasets to Xplore articles
Views and citations available for each dataset
Ability to contact dataset owners to provide feedback, make inquiries, or collaborate
Integrated with ORCID; users can optionally have the IEEE DataPort dataset asset automatically added to their ORCID asset list
Fully integrated with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to facilitate data analytics
Provides Digital Object Identifier (DOI) automatically for each dataset
Ability to participate in or facilitate data competitions
Ability to store and link related documentation such as scripts, visualizations, and other documentation
Institutional subscriptions available to meet broader research data storage and access needs
IEEE DataPort supports research reproducibility and enables users to store research datasets, share research data with others, access datasets from other researchers, and increase the visibility of their research.
Users can explore Open Access datasets and upload their own research data at no cost by logging in with their IEEE credentials or creating a free IEEE account. IEEE DataPort also offers individual subscriptions, which extends access to all datasets on the platform. Society members can access a free individual subscription just by logging in to the platform. IEEE DataPort also offers institutional subscriptions, which provide unlimited access to all members of an organization, as well as exclusive features and Open Access dataset upload options.
